Effective March 1, 2013

On September 1, 2002, the International Function Point Users Group (IFPUG) Board of Directors approved the Certified Function Point Specialist (CFPS) Certification Extension Program (CEP). The CFPS CEP is an activity driven process by which the CFPS designation could be extended without the need of an examination. This process allows an individual to earn credits toward extension of that person’s current CFPS designation. Since the implementation of the program, new activities have been added and existing activities modified to better meet the needs of IFPUG’s large international CFPS community. This year the program has been expanded to include credit for distance learning of IFPUG sponsored FP Counting Workshops. Workshops that are pre-approved for credit can be found on the CFPS Certification Extension Program page on the IFPUG Website and the CFPS Certification Extension Program document. The program takes effect on March 1, 2013.

Starting Monday, August 6, 2012 the Italian CFPS exam will be testing against CPM version 4.3.1

The Italian exam joins ranks with the English and Portuguese automated exams to test against the latest version of the Counting Practices Manual.  All the questions have been reviewed and updated with the current terminology and feedback received by CFPS candidates, new questions have been added and some of the questions have been removed.  The changes in terminology from CPM 4.2.1 to CPM 4.3.1 were relatively minor but did affect many of the questions in the exam.  There has been reduced emphasis on the General Systems Characteristics with the 4.3.1 exam but you will have some questions in this area so you should be prepared.  The number of questions in each section and the format of the exam remains the same.  The functional complexity tables can now be found in the Quick Reference Guide.

A partire da Lunedi 6 Agosto 2012, l’esame CFPS in Italiano sarà disponibile con la versione 4.3.1 del CPM.
 
Il nuovo esame CFPS in Italiano si unisce agli esami automatizzati in lingua Inglese e Portoghese secondo l’ultima versione del CPM (v4.3.1).  Tutte le domande sono state riviste e aggiornate secondo la terminologia corrente e i feedback ricevuti da personale certificato CFPS, sono state aggiunte nuove domande e altre sono state rimosse.  I cambi nella terminologia dal CPM 4.2.1 al 4.3.1 sono relativamente minori, ma hanno influenzato molte delle domande di esame.  Con la nuova versione 4.3.1 è stata ridotta l’enfasi sulle GSC (General System Characteristics) ma alcune domande saranno proposte; pertanto è bene essere preparati su tali aspetti.
Il numero delle domande in ogni sezione e il formato dell’esame rimane lo stesso.

La Asociación Española para la Gobernanza, la Gestión y la Medición de las Tecnologías de la Información (AEMES) como capítulo de IFPUG en España, dentro de su plan de estimular y promover el uso de la metodología de los puntos función, ofrece la posibilidad de realizar el examen de certificación IFPUG (CFPS-CFPP), en castellano y de forma presencial.
