IT PERFORMANCE COMMITTEE

Mission
The mission of the IT Performance Committee is to “provide services, based on a collection of software metrics data, that assist IFPUG members to understand, plan, manage, and improve software engineering processes and practices.”

The IT Performance Committee works to increase IFPUG member awareness of the use of software metrics repositories for Benchmarking, Project Estimation, Leading Practice Identification, and IT Performance Improvement. To facilitate this process IFPUG maintains a Lead Membership in the ISBSG (International Software Benchmarking Standards Group Ltd). This membership provides IFPUG Members an inexpensive source for benchmark materials, representation in this international body, and a focal point for IFPUG member contributions to this international benchmarking effort.

Primary / Current Activities
Informing and educating members in the process of Benchmarking through this website, articles in IFPUG publications, and regularly scheduled IFPUG training courses.
Maintaining the relationship with ISBSG through active participation in its operational and organizational activities, IFPUG commitments to growing the ISBSG repositories, and promotion and sales of ISBSG related materials.
Adding value to IFPUG members’ Metrics activities by providing the focal point for Benchmark data collection and distribution.
