Announcing ISMA 14 Call for Workshops
The IFPUG Conference and Education Committee is currently administering a call for instructors for four proposed workshops for the September 2017 IFPUG ISMA 14 event.
We would propose to our community these four sessions:
- September 13 (09:00-13:00): Applying FP Rules to Emerging Business Applications (FP211): Effective use of Function Point Analysis (FPA) & Software Non-functional Assessment Process (SNAP) for Performance Measurement, Estimation and Benchmarking
- September 13 (14:00-18:00): FP Workshop Counting Object Oriented Applications and Projects (FP370): Applying FP to OO applications, SOA, Web Services
- September 14 (09:00-13:00): Applying FP Rules to Emerging Technologies (FP212): Applying FP & SNAP to Gaming Industry (Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Cloud etc.)
- September 14 (14:00-18:00): Estimating Project Size early in the Life Cycle (FP221): Guidelines to set up a FP based model. Gathering supportive data (either Industry benchmarks or develop in-house baselines)
We are requiring electronic submission of the form IFPUG Course/Instructor agreement. All submissions should be sent via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Application information can also be integrated into an e-mail message.
June 20, 2017 – Deadline for consideration of instructors for the September 13 – 14, 2017 Workshops in Cleveland (OH).
With exception of the IFPUG Counting Practices Manual, IFPUG does not own existing courses or provide course training materials to Instructors. The IFPUG Education Committee reserves the right to either request or require modifications to course content as a condition of course selection.
