COCOMO II - Iterative lifecycles

Hello everybody,

I was wondering if there is a COCOMO II model for iterative lifecycle projects (like RUP) or if it can only be applied to waterfall lifecycle projects.

Yes, COCOMO II can handle iterative development. The technique is described in Appendix B of "Software Cost Estimation with COCOMO II." Also, there is a software tool, called COSTAR, that implements this approach for estimating projects using iterative development (see http://www.softstarsystems.com/).
