In conjunction with the 2007 ISMA Conference this September in Las Vegas, IFPUG is excited to announce . . . • A 50 percent discount for the CSMS exam for anyone registered for the 2007 ISMA Conference. • that for the first 15 candidates who successfully complete the exam in Las Vegas and bring their CSMS “packet” that the MRC will review, and where appropriate, award their certifications at ISMA. Additional packets will be reviewed when received as part of the standard CSMS review process. • Recognize those who pass the exam, and those who receive designations, at the conference. More info about the CSMS is available at: http://www.ifpug.org/certification/csms.htm In Las Vegas, exam takers may take: • The current exam based on the Guidelines to Software Measurement (GSM), but those who "pass" would need to re-take a new exam in three years when recertifying, or • The new exam based on a new body of knowledge (http://www.ifpug.org/certification/bokstudy.htm) in which case they would not need to take the exam at recertification unless the body of knowledge changed substantially--which is not anticipated. The cost of both of the exams is the same. The last offering of the current exam will be on Monday in Las Vegas at this year's ISMA. Gregory Allen MRC Member |

There is not a CSMS exam currently scheduled in India. If you are interested in hosting a CSMS exam please read the Rules and Regulations posted in the IFPUG website under CSMS Certification, fill out the Regional CSMS Regional Exam Application form and send the applicaiton to the IFPUG office. Let me know if you have any questions about the rules for hosting the CSMS exam or filling out the application. Gregory Allen MRC Committee Member gallen@pershing.com |
