FUNCTION POINT COUNTING PRACTICES MANUAL

The Function Point Counting Practices Manual is the definitive description of the Function Pointing Counting Standard. Several versions of the manual are available, each describing the standard or variation (e.g., unadjusted version) at a given stage of development.

In addition, two supporting documents are available. The Guidelines for Counting Logical Files discusses factors that affect the counting of Logical Files. The Function Point Quick Reference Card presents the Function Point Counting rules in a quick reference format.

Note that an IFPUG member may download some versions and/or selected updates to the Function Point Counting Practices Manual by providing a User ID and a Password.
