IFPUG publishes an updated version of iTip 03 for counting Logon functions

The Functional Sizing Standards Committee (FSSC) announces the release of an updated iTip 03 for FPA. iTips explain the application of IFPUG FPA method in a particular situation.

This iTip  focuses on describing the IFPUG FPA method as it applies to counting basic logon functionality in a typical application through a set of short examples. The updated version includes an additional example (Example 4) which illustrates Logon functionality utilizing an independently maintained role-based permissions (access rights) for the user.

IFPUG iTips provide guidance on important topics to the Function Point Analysis (FPA) community and explain the application of IFPUG FPA method in a particular situation. iTips are not rules, but interpretation of the rules, and provide guidance using a realistic example to explain the topic being covered.
