ISMA 14 conference: ICEAA: Enhancing estimation through Cooperative Collaboration
Bob Hunt (ICEAA)
The International Cost Estimating & Analysis Association (ICEAA) has been a valuable resource for estimators, analysts, project managers, government employees, contractors, consultants, and everyone else in the field for over 50 years. While the names and acronyms have changed, the meaning hasn’t: ICEAA exists to help those of us who do what we do to do it better. ICEAA’s Treasurer Bob Hunt will give a short background of our history, what ICEAA provides our members now, and what we are working towards providing in the future. Learn about our Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst certification, a renowned and coveted designation that sets CCEAs apart from their peers; opportunities to meet, share ideas, and network with your peers from all levels of expertise across the industry; and how you can get involved with these and other aspects of ICEAA.
We are especially proud to introduce our Software Cost Estimating Body of Knowledge (sCEBoK), that we are in the final stages of developing along with IFPUG and a host of other software-focused organizations. The end goal of the sCEBoK is to create a certification program for software estimation that demonstrates an understanding of all the various approaches to software estimating that can be used across the globe.
