IFPUG endorses three types of standard methodology for software sizing.

IFPUG has one mission—to be the unquestioned recognized leader in promoting and encouraging effective application software development and maintenance activities. We do this by endorsing three proven methodologies for precise software sizing:

  • Function Point Analysis (FPA)
  • Software Non-functional Assessment Process (SNAP)
  • Simple Function Points (SFP)

IFPUG is also the governing body for the Certified Function Point Specialist (CFPS), the Certified Function Point Practitioner (CFPP), the Certified SNAP Specialist (CSS) and Certified SNAP Practitioner (CSP) certifications.

ISMA21 Virtual Conference

ISMA21 was hosted virtually on December 1, 2023.

ISMA21 virtual conference was an opportunity to allow attendees to learn from experts in the industry and included four presentations on non-functional measurement and one presentation related to functional measurement.

The New Certified SNAP Specialist (CSS) Certification

IFPUG is excited to announce the latest certification, Certified SNAP Specialist (CSS). The certification exam is available now in English with additional languages soon to follow.
The IFPUG Certification Program designations are formal recognition of a level of expertise in the area of either Functional Sizing or Non-functional sizing.

IFPUG is the governing body for the Certified Function Point Fellow, Certified Function Point Specialist (CFPS), the Certified Function Point Practitioner (CFPP), Certified SNAP Specialist (CSS) and Certified SNAP Practitioner (CSP) certifications.
